The school was then incepted as a non residential English medium institution, on the pattern of a public school. Encouraged by its superb overall performance, this school was upgraded to intermediate level in 1975. It was then elevated to a Degree College in 1985 and was affiliated with the University of the Punjab. Recently I. C. B got another feather in its cap, as it has been affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University.

Since its inception in 1966, I.C.B has relentlessly struggled to scale the peaks in the domains to curricular and extra curricular activities and has successfully its aims and excellent results.
